School Researcher

School Researcher is a peer-reviewed online journal focused on inquiry conducted with urban partners or in urban schools. The goal of the journal is to share quality research with various constituencies who are committed to excellence in urban schools and the communities they situate in. The journal audience targets stakeholders of urban educational excellence including university faculty and students, school personnel, and policy makers. The journal is open-access. Articles may be reproduced for educational purposes free of charge provided the author(s) and journal are credited. Contents may not be sold.



Submissions:

School Researcher is a biannual peer-reviewed online periodical featuring research studies on and with urban schools and their communities. The journal also offers specialized sections for disseminating research-based ideas as they inform policy, practice, theory and curriculum. All submissions are welcome at anytime. Upcoming deadlines include:

Volume 1, Issue 1: August/September 2008

Research
Features research of school-related issues. All methodological designs are considered, as are studies that involve collaboration between and among P-16 educators.

Policy Briefs
Presents research-based articles to inform current and future educational policies.

Promising Practices
Offers ideas and examples of projects and work in and with schools that hold interest and potential for success for all learners.

Professional Review
Shares critiques and reviews of professional materials.
