Open Access Research (OAR) is an electronic-only, peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original empirical research on open access.
Suitable topics include, but are not limited to:
- Open access journals
- Institutional support for open access
- Open access publishing services and software
- Open access repositories (institutional and subject-based)
- Electronic theses and dissertations
- The impact of open access on scholarly research and communications
The sole mission of Open Access Research is to provide a forum to expand and deepen the understanding of open access.

Peer Review Process
Once the editors determine that a submission fits within the scope of OAR, the manuscript will be forwarded to two or more referees for peer review.
Referees are asked to submit their review within two weeks.
Open Access Policy
OAR applies the Creative Commons Attribution License to works we publish.
Under this license, authors retain the copyright to their articles, but allow others to share and adapt their works so long as the authors are credited.
